Local residents angry at Labour's closure of local Post Office

July 8, 2004 3:48 PM

Nicola Davies and local City Councillor Neil Eustace were today campaigning against the closure of Lower Stechford Post Office used by residents from the Hodge Hill Constituency.

Nicola Davies said "Local people are furious that Labour are allowing the closure of both post offices in Stechford to go ahead. Pensioners in particular are angry that they will have to walk much further to post a parcel and that they will lose a source of friendly local advice. I will continue to stand up for local people and fight these closures. We must force the Government to rethink this policy."
