Charles Kennedy, Nicola Davies and some of the Hodge Hill Campaign Team
Nicola Davies was today, again, joined by Liberal Democrat Leader Charles Kennedy MP on a visit to Tame Valley Primary School. Charles Kennedy MP said: "I've never seen a Labour campaign so rattled. In Brent East, Sarah Tether's brilliant victory came as a bit of a shock to Labour. Here in Hodge Hill Labour are running scared. They are stooping to the worst negative campaigning I have seen. Local people have a genuine grievance with what Labour have failed to do locally. Nicola's campaign is a positive campaign that is in touch with residents' concerns."
Charles Kennedy further said "It's just a shame that Tony Blair and the Labour Party in Birmingham are so blind to the extent that they have neglected East Birmingham. Nicola Davies is tackling Labour over the war in Iraq, the need for extra police on the beat and the closure of local Post Offices. Local people are telling us it's time for a change because Labour have neglected the area. They know Nicola Davies is the only candidate who can deliver that change."
