Butler report casts long shadow over Hodge Hill says Davies

The Butler Report signals the final collapse of trust in Tony Blair and Labour, Nicola Davies, Liberal Democrat candidate, said today. The report concludes that key intelligence used to justify the war in Iraq is "seriously flawed".
Nicola Davies said "The Prime Minister took us to war based on false information. He has broken the contract of trust between the people of Britain and his Government. He must now admit his mistakes. The Butler Report confirms that there was not a sufficient case for war as a last resort. We can no longer trust the word of the Prime Minister. Every single vote for Labour tomorrow will be taken by the Prime Minister as a vote for him. The Butler Report will undoubtedly cast a long shadow over this by-election. The people of Hodge Hill know that the responsibility of going to war in Iraq rests with Tony Blair. It's time to send the Prime Minister and the Labour Party a strong message."
