Conservatives plan to limit human rights

The Conservatives have today announced that they intend to form a commission to look at reform, replacement or repeal of the Human Rights Act. The Human Rights Act implemented the European convention on human rights (EHCR) into British Law and provided guarantees on our human rights.
David Davies MP, the Conservative Home Affairs spokesperson has appointed the Chair of the Commission but would not say who it is. The Human Rights Act is crucial to ensuring all citizens are guaranteed a basic set of human rights, the Conservatives obviously believe that these rights should no longer be guaranteed.
