Liberal Democrats at last years rally against war in Iraq

Charles Kennedy used Prime Minister's Questions earlier today to question Tony Blair over Iraq and what knowledge he had prior to committing troops and also why he did not reveal that knowledge to the House of Commons so they could make a judgement based on fact.

Charles Kennedy pointed out to the prime minister that now Weapons of Mass Destruction were never in Iraq and indeed were never likely to be in Iraq, the only justification the prime minister had left for the war was the removal of Saddam Hussein. As a result, he had led the country into an illegal war.

The Liberal Democrats have called on Tony Blair to make a full statement to the House of Commons on the knowledge he had prior to committing troops and also why he did not reveal that knowledge to the House of Commons so they could make a judgement based on fact.
