Queen's Speech - Labour focuses on fear

Today's Queen's Speech saw the Labour Government outline a string of law and order bills in what is likely to be the last Queen's Speech before a general election. The Liberal Democrats have said that the Government is focusing on fear, whereas the Liberal Democrats offer hope, no wonder the Liberal Democrats are rising in the polls.
Matthew Taylor, Chairman of the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Party said "We are the only party with clear plans to replace the unfair Council Tax, end the burden of student tuition fees, help pensioners and put more police on our streets. Crime and terror would be better addressed with 10,000 more police and the National Border Force, rather than wasting £3 billion on ID cards that didn't protect people in the US or Spain and which would curtail British rights and liberties. Labour is offering nothing on the big issues facing British families, unlike Liberal Democrat plans to abolish tuition fees, axe care charges on the elderly, raise pensions, replace the unfair Council Tax, and recruit 10,000 more police."
