Local Liberal Democrats are looking forward to debating their policies with other parties at two hustings events to be held in Birmingham city centre in November.
Cllr Ayoub Khan, the Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Birmingham Ladywood, will join his rivals at a "Question Time" style debate on Monday 9 November. The event, organised by the City Centre Neighbourhood Forum, will take place in the bar below Birmingham Town Hall and kicks off at 7.30pm.
Two days later Acocks Green Councillor Iain Bowen (Lib Dem) takes on human-rights campaigner Peter Tatchell (Green Party), European Parliamentarian Nikki Sinclaire (UKIP) and others at "Queer Question Time". The event is part of the SHOUT cultural festival and is designed for members of the city's LGBT community to quiz politicians from different parties. It takes place on Wednesday 11 November at 7.30pm in the Patrick Centre, part of the Hippodrome Theatre complex on Hurst Street in Birmingham city centre. This event has a ticket price of £5, you can find out more details and buy tickets at www.getreadytoshout.org
