The future of Sheldon Police Station

January 16, 2018 1:10 PM

The Labour Police Commissioner has sold off Sheldon police station. Now a planning application is in! There are proposals for a supported living centre for vulnerable groups, including homeless people, domestic violence victims, people with specialist needs such as, mental health issues, substance misuse, asylum seekers and refugees.

We are calling upon Birmingham City Council to decline planning permission on the grounds that the building is not fit for purpose, the mix of residents is unworkable, staffing levels and security are inadequate, and there are insufficient local amenities to support such a centre.

You can view the planning application and make comments here.
