Birmingham Liberal Democrats are deeply saddened to have to report the untimely passing of Neil Eustace. Neil was Councillor for Yardley East - having spent the last 35 years as a Councillor. Neil was well-respected across the city, and was known for his deep commitment to the communities he served. Birmingham Liberal Democrats will miss him greatly, and our sincere condolences are with Neil's family, friends and all those who will miss him too.
Lib Dem Group Leader for Birmingham, Cllr Jon Hunt (Perry Barr), commented:
"Neil was a dynamo, hugely respected in Stechford and within the Liberal Democrats. He was agent for John Hemming when he won Yardley constituency for the Liberal Democrats and played a key role in getting to that place.
He was a brilliant councillor, with fire in his soul when the council failed. He was an terrific chair of the public protection committee for many years.
His passing is unexpected and we will miss him hugely."
