Support our road safety campaign

As part of our ongoing commitment to the residents of Birmingham, we are seeking improvements to the way that roads and neighbourhoods are policed.

I call on West Midlands Police to:

Prioritise neighbourhood policing
Ring fence neighbourhood teams so that they do not get pulled onto other operations
Improve local communication through public engagement sessions
Enable Traffic Officers and Neighbourhood Teams to work together to target dangerous driving
Re-prioritise the “Road Harm Reduction Team” to tackle unsafe parking, speeding and dangerous driving
Maximise the use of third party reporting systems
Publicise cases to gain media attention and raise awareness of progress being made
