Save South Yardley Library

With Birmingham City Council in financial crisis, major cuts are proposed to the library service. All we have been told so far are that the plans involve keeping 11 libraries open across the City (the Central Library and one per constituency). The other 25 are likely to close, unless local groups and volunteers step in to rescue them.

We don't yet know which Libraries will stay open and which will close, but it's clear that until we do, every library is at risk. The final decision will be subject to consultation. So, to ensure our communities voice is heard loud and clear, we are setting up a petition now to save South Yardley Library.

South Yardley Library

Save South Yardley Library

I the undersigned pledge my support for South Yardley library and urge the council to keep it open to the public.
