Thank you for standing up for Kingstanding

Last week, the people of Kingstanding had a by-election. The election was triggered by the swift resignation of Conservative Cllr Rick Payne.
The local party chose Lucy Hayward to be their candidate.
The campaign period overlapped the Mayoral election, and took place on 30 May 2024. Asked for her opinion after the election, Lucy said "It was a pleasure to stand as a Liberal Democrat in this local election and give people the opportunity to have their vote for Liberal values acknowledged. I am grateful to everyone who voted for me."
The local party thank Lucy for her efforts, and for being their representative in this election, and they look forward to campaigning with her again in future.
